Privacy policy

Last updated: October 20, 2026. This policy explains what PickedFirst ("we"), operated by PickedFirst, collects and how we use it.

What we collect

Your email address, when you unlock a check, sign in, subscribe or contact us.
What you enter: website, product and rival names, category, buyer questions, a one-line description, your business mailing address for pitches, and any sources or answers you paste.
Public web pages we read for you ("best of" articles and the links in them), and what we find on them.
What you tell us about pitches, such as "they said yes". We also keep a copy of that outcome with only the public list URL and the result, with no name, email or product attached, to learn which lists accept tools on merit.
Messages you send to support, and the replies we draft.
Billing details, which are handled by Stripe. We do not store card numbers.
Basic technical data such as IP address, used for security and rate limits.

How we use it

To run your checks, re-check your lists each week and send your updates.
To answer support messages. Replies are drafted with software and reviewed by a person before they are sent.
To send you product emails, including tips and offers. You can unsubscribe any time.
To bill you and prevent abuse.

Who we share it with

Service providers that help us run PickedFirst: OpenAI receives your buyer questions when automatic checks are on (we ask OpenAI not to store the requests); Google receives support messages and pitch text when the optional Gemini writing helper is on (paid API, no Google Search grounding); Stripe for payments; Brevo for our email list and sending; our hosting and database providers. We do not sell your personal information.

Retention and your choices

We keep your data while you have an account and for a reasonable time after, unless the law requires otherwise. You can ask us to access, correct or delete your data by emailing pickedfirst.team@gmail.com. Anonymous pitch outcomes cannot be linked back to you, so they are not deleted with your account. Depending on where you live (for example the EU, UK or California) you may have additional rights.

Cookies

We use one essential cookie to keep you signed in. We do not use advertising cookies.
